On November 24 of this year, the International Symposium on “Medical Chemistry and Biomedical Materials Science” was held in Samarkand. The event was attended by the Scientific Director of the state institution “Fan va Tarakkiyot,” Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan S.S. Negmatov, and the Director of the state institution “Fan va Tarakkiyot,” Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor N.S. Abed.
The symposium was organized by the Scientific and Practical Center for Immunology, Allergology and Human Genomics under the Samarkand State Medical University in cooperation with the First Saint Petersburg State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov. Specialists from Russia, China, and the United Kingdom, along with experts from our Republic, are taking part in the event.
During the opening ceremony, the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizaev, emphasized the importance of the forum for the development of medical chemistry and biomedicine. Academician S.S. Negmatov also delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the relevance of biomedical materials science issues today.

After the plenary session, the symposium continued its work in sectional meetings, where presentations on several pressing scientific topics were delivered.
